Hotel Heliconia is located up in the beautiful mountains of Monteverde, which is only about three and a half hours from our capital city San José. A place that is known for the Cloud Forest, the Resplendent Quetzal, and the Bell Bird.

We are the only hotel that have our very own private Reserve with 600 hectares of primary forest with a great variety of plants, orchids, apephites, birds, mammals, and great views that will take your breath away! We do offer a free entrance to our "Bird Sanctuary Reserve" for our clients who stay at our hotel. Here you can have the pleasure of walking in our 4 km. Of wide, easy access trails.

Our hotel has 32 spacious rooms! Each of our rooms have private baths with a big luxurious bath tabs, a safety deposit box, and most of our rooms have accessible balconies. We have a jacuzzi for those who like to enjoy a relaxing time, or relax and enjoy the beautiful gardens that surrounds our hotel.

To give it a more personal touch of Monteverde our hotel is made all out of fine exotic woods. And wonderfully decorated with some of the most common, but beautiful flowers found in our gardens. All here to make your stay the most relaxing, enjoyable, memorable, and possibly a little more romantic!
